Legal Requirements
One business day is required before a couple can petition the Minister of Justice for a special license to be married in Antigua. The couple will stand before a Marriage Coordinator in the ministry and will complete and sign a declaration at the end of the petition stating that the information given is true and correct.
Required Documentation
- Original birth certificates (with raised notary seal) and valid passports
- Original of the proof of Decree Absolute if one/both of the parties is a divorcee
- Original of Death Certificate in the case of a widow/widower
- Original proof if name changed by Deed Poll
